In 1964 Laine joined Mike Pinder, and as the lead singer on the Moody Blues’ recording of “Go Now”, helped the band reach worldwide attention and sell millions of records.After leaving the Moody Blues Laine formed the Electric String Band; played lead guitar in Ginger Baker’s Air Force (a partial offshoot of Blind Faith) and formed the band Balls with Trevor Burton of the Move.
